Candidate Endorsements

Keep Lake Oswego Great has interviewed all seven of the City Council candidates regarding the issues that face our community. We are very fortunate to have the caliber of candidates we have. All of them bring strengths and commitment to doing the hard work involved—none of them are single issue candidates. While many positive ideas surfaced to keep our community a great place to live and play, we make the following endorsements:

Roger Hennagin
• Supportive of attainable housing—both for young families and seniors
• Wants revisions to zoning code to allow for easier development
• Supports the Lake Grove Village Plan and needed transportation plan

Donna Jordan
• Advocate of the Library and Arts
• Will prioritize essential services for community health and safety
• Committed to maintaining a strong financial stewardship

Dave Jorling
• Supportive of the Streetcar Project
• Reasonable approach to sensitive lands issue—understands individual and community property rights
• Believes Lake Oswego must grow better, not bigger

Lisa Shaw-Ryan
• Will provide a vision of projects for the future
• Will work with citizen priorities
• Believes she can provide long term emphasis on decision making
